Intel Core 3 Processor 100U — 6 cores (2 Performance + 4 Efficient) / 8 threads
The Intel Core 3 Processor 100U is built on Intel's Raptor Lake generation of the Core (non-Ultra) family, combining 6 cores (2 Performance + 4 Efficient) / 8 threads with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.7 GHz and 10 MB Intel Smart Cache. Base power is 15 W with a maximum turbo power of 55 W. Graphics are handled by the Intel Graphics, 64 execution units, sufficient for office applications, dual and triple monitor desktops and everyday video, though there is no discrete Arc GPU or AI Boost NPU on this tier — No dedicated NPU — Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator 3.0 only; not Copilot+ PC eligible. This is the practical trade-off against the Core Ultra configurations elsewhere in our NUC 15 Pro catalogue: less AI acceleration and a lower-tier integrated GPU, in exchange for a lower price point for standard office duty.
16 GB DDR5 and a 512 GB NVMe SSD
Memory ships as 16 GB of DDR5, with a second SO-DIMM slot free for later expansion; ASUS does not publish the exact module count fitted per SKU, so if single- versus dual-channel matters for your workload email us the SKU and we will confirm before you order. That gives comfortable headroom for office multitasking, browser-heavy workloads and several applications open at once. Storage is a 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, fast enough for quick boots and application loads; a second M.2 slot is present on the board for later expansion.
The Tall Chassis: Room to Expand That the Slim Chassis Does Not Have
ASUS builds the NUC 15 Pro in two chassis heights: a 36.8 mm slim build and this 117 x 112 x 54 mm Tall build. The Tall chassis is not simply thicker for its own sake — ASUS reserves a set of separately-purchased expansion accessories for Tall kits only: a second full-size M.2 2280 SSD expansion module, and a second 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet expansion module (available with or without an RS232 serial port). Neither accessory fits inside the slim chassis. If your deployment might later need a second wired network link — a firewall, a gateway box, a kiosk needing a serial-connected peripheral — the Tall chassis is the one that keeps that option open; the slim chassis does not.

What the Tall Chassis Adds Over the Slim Build
ASUS reserves two categories of expansion accessory for the Tall chassis that the 36.8 mm slim chassis in the same family cannot fit: a second full-size M.2 2280 SSD expansion module, and a second 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet module (with an RS232 serial port option). Both are sold separately from ASUS and are not bundled with this SKU. If you are choosing between a Tall and a slim configuration purely on the strength of "might I need a second network port or a second full-size SSD later", the Tall chassis is the one that keeps that door open.
Memory and Storage Access
Both DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and the M.2 storage are reached through the same tool-less chassis access, so a memory upgrade or a larger drive does not require a screwdriver. The second M.2 slot on the board is separate from the Tall-only expansion module slot described above; it is present on every NUC 15 Pro chassis, Tall or slim.
Display and Networking Setup
Two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports carrying DisplayPort 2.1, plus two HDMI 2.1 outputs, support up to four 4K displays between them. Wired networking is a single 2.5 Gigabit port as standard; if a resilient second wired connection is required immediately rather than added later, ask us about fitting the second-LAN expansion accessory before delivery.
What This Processor Tier Does Not Include
Core 3 100U has no AI Boost NPU and no discrete-class Arc GPU — No dedicated NPU — Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator 3.0 only; not Copilot+ PC eligible. Cloud-based Microsoft Copilot works normally over an internet connection regardless of the processor tier; on-device Copilot+ PC features require a NPU rated at 40 TOPS or above, which this configuration does not have.

No. ASUS does not document a 2.5-inch SATA bay in either the Tall or slim NUC 15 Pro chassis. Storage is two M.2 NVMe slots; the Tall chassis's advantage is the separately-sold M.2 and LAN expansion accessories described above, not a SATA bay.
