Its Intel AI Boost NPU is rated at up to 50 TOPS, which handles on-device AI features in Windows 11 and supported applications without loading the CPU cores. 14-inch WQXGA 144Hz Display
The 14-inch WQXGA panel (2560 x 1600, 16:10) refreshes at 144Hz, is rated at 400 nits with an anti-glare finish, covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and has 178-degree viewing angles. It gives sharper text and more workspace than the WUXGA and FHD panels in the B3 and B1 ranges.
Serviceable Memory and PCIe 5.0-Ready Storage Slot
The 16GB of DDR5 is fitted in SO-DIMM slots (two in total), so memory can be expanded. The 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD sits in an M.2 2280 slot rated for PCIe 4.0/5.0 x4, and a second M.2 2230 PCIe 4.0 slot with an SSD housing is available for added storage.
Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 and RJ45
Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB4 compliant, with display output and power delivery), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 (triple band, 2x2) with Bluetooth 6.0.

Sign-in is via the fingerprint sensor in the power key or the 5MP IR camera with Windows Hello; the camera has a physical privacy shutter. Docking and External Displays
The two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB4 compliant) carry display output, data and power delivery, so one cable to a Thunderbolt or USB-C dock can charge the laptop and run external monitors. HDMI 2.1 connects a further display directly.
Networking
A built-in RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port connects to wired office networks without an adapter. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be, triple band, 2x2) gives higher throughput and lower latency on compatible access points, and Bluetooth 6.0 covers headsets and peripherals.
First-Time Setup

The B5405CAA uses the newer Core Ultra 7 356H with a 50 TOPS NPU (versus up to 13 TOPS on the B3405CCA), a 14-inch WQXGA 144Hz 400-nit display (versus WUXGA 60Hz 300-nit), Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, a 63Wh battery and an all-aluminium chassis. Both have RJ45, HDMI 2.1, microSD and SO-DIMM memory.
Can the memory be upgraded?
Yes. The 16GB is fitted in DDR5 SO-DIMM slots (two slots in total), so it can be expanded later.
