Service or Swap Your UPS Without Dropping the Load
The Vertiv™ Liebert® MicroPOD MP2-210K is a wrap-around maintenance bypass for single-phase micro-UPS systems. The utility and the UPS both plug into the MicroPOD, and your protected equipment plugs into the MicroPOD’s own outlets. Turn the rotary switch to MAINS and the load is fed from utility power while the UPS is serviced, has its batteries replaced, or is swapped out entirely — with no power interruption. Turn it back and the load is protected by the UPS again.
Vertiv specifies a transfer time of less than 6 ms to and from maintenance bypass.
Power Output Distribution Built In
Because all connected devices plug into the MicroPOD, it doubles as a power output distribution (POD) unit. This model provides 8 x C13 outlets in two groups of four, each group protected by its own 10 A circuit breaker — handy when your UPS outlets are all used up.
Simple, Compact, Complete Bundle
A rotary switch and LED indicators make the unit simple to operate: the amber MAINS lamp confirms utility power is available before you switch. At only 2U high (394 x 77 x 88 mm, 2.0 kg) it can be fixed to the rear of the UPS with the supplied brackets or rack-mounted in a 19-inch enclosure, and the cords to the UPS input and output are factory supplied.
Matched to Your UPS
This model is for UPS output ratings of 1000 W / 1000 VA and 1500 W / 1500 VA, taking utility power on an EN60320/C14 inlet and connecting to the UPS via an EN60320/C13 (to UPS input) and EN60320/C14 (from UPS output). Vertiv’s Liebert GXT5 brochure pairs the MP2-210K with the GXT5-750IRT2UXL, GXT5-1000IRT2UXL and GXT5-1500IRT2UXL.

The MicroPOD user guide rates it for UPS outputs of 1000 W / 1000 VA and 1500 W / 1500 VA with a C14 inlet — matching the C14-input GXT5 750 VA to 1.5 kVA. (The GXT5-2000IRT2UXL pairs with the MP2-220K instead.)
How It Connects
Utility power goes into the MicroPOD EN60320/C14 inlet (MAINS). The MicroPOD feeds the UPS input from its EN60320/C13 and takes the UPS output back through its EN60320/C14; the UPS input and output cords are factory provided. Protected equipment then plugs into the MicroPOD outlets.
Using the Bypass
Check that the amber MAINS lamp is lit, turn the rotary switch from UPS to MAINS, then power down and disconnect the UPS. While in MAINS position the load is on raw utility power, not conditioned by the UPS. Reverse the steps to return to UPS protection. The MAINS input must be protected by a branch-rated circuit breaker and the unit must always be earthed.
