What Microsoft Does Not Publish for This Product

The following are commonly asked about but are not stated on any current official Microsoft source for this product, so SourceIT does not quote them: a qualifying base licence for the Viva Suite, a minimum seat count, a lifecycle policy listing for this subscription SKU, how a mid-term module retirement is handled commercially and a mapping between the commerce SKU identifier and this product. We would rather leave a field blank than print a figure we cannot substantiate.

SourceIT sells this as a twelve-month subscription with a GST invoice in Singapore. The subscription is a right to use the service for the term, not a perpetual licence: when the term ends the entitlement ends unless it is renewed.

Microsoft publishes no lifecycle listing for the Viva Suite subscription, so this page does not claim one, and no retirement or replacement announcement is published for the Suite itself. Two modules that customers still search for have been retired and are not part of the current Suite: Viva Goals on 31 December 2025 and Viva Topics on 22 February 2025. Microsoft's own statement alongside the Goals retirement was that "While Viva Goals is being retired, Microsoft remains fully committed to the Viva suite".

Talk to our team before the renewal date rather than after it. Seat counts, mid-term changes and co-terming with the rest of your Microsoft estate are all easier to arrange in advance, and we can quote the alternatives if a bundle would work out better for you.

Support and Entitlement Position

This is a software subscription, not hardware. It carries no hardware warranty, and any warranty term you see on a hardware listing does not apply here. What you are buying is a twelve-month right to use the service, together with SourceIT's local support in Singapore. Microsoft's own condition is that technical and billing support for a subscription bought through a partner runs through that partner, so for this subscription that means us: raise the ticket with SourceIT and we escalate to Microsoft where it needs to go. Renewal, seat changes and co-terming are handled on your SourceIT account. Ask our team for the current entitlement position in writing with your quotation.

Viva is delivered inside Microsoft 365 and surfaces principally through Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, so the practical prerequisite is an existing Microsoft 365 tenant with Teams in use. Microsoft does not publish a specific qualifying base subscription for the Viva Suite, and this page does not invent one — its own instruction is to contact a Microsoft representative to add Viva to an existing enterprise subscription, which for a partner-supplied subscription means talking to us.

If you already hold a Microsoft 365 enterprise plan, check what Viva capability it already carries. Microsoft lists "Microsoft Viva in Microsoft 365" as included in its enterprise plans, and publishes two narrower bundles as well — Employee Communications and Communities, and Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback. Buying the full seven-module Suite when two modules would do is a common and avoidable overspend.

One question to settle before you commit to a twelve-month term: how a module retirement mid-term would be handled. Microsoft publishes no refund or credit policy for that situation — when Viva Goals was retired its guidance was to contact a Microsoft representative. Which modules do we get?

Microsoft's pricing page lists seven in the Suite: Viva Connections, Viva Engage, Viva Amplify, Viva Insights, Viva Glint, Viva Pulse and Viva Learning.

What happened to Viva Goals and Viva Topics?

Both were retired, and neither is in the current Suite. Microsoft published that "Viva Goals will be retired on December 31, 2025", having stopped new feature development on 5 December 2024. Viva Topics was retired on 22 February 2025, with Microsoft moving that capability into Copilot and other parts of Microsoft 365; published Topic pages became standard SharePoint pages. Because neither is in the Suite, this subscription is not exposed to either retirement.

Do we need a particular Microsoft 365 plan first?

Microsoft does not publish one for the Viva Suite, and we will not invent a requirement it has not stated. Its own instruction is to "Contact your Microsoft representative to add Viva to your existing enterprise subscription" — which, for a partner-supplied subscription, means talking to us. In practice Viva is delivered inside Microsoft 365 and surfaces through Teams, so an existing tenant is the real prerequisite.

We only want two of the modules. Is there a cheaper route?

Very likely. Microsoft publishes two narrower bundles — Microsoft Viva Employee Communications and Communities, and Microsoft Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback — and lists "Microsoft Viva in Microsoft 365" as included in Microsoft 365 enterprise plans. Tell us which modules you would actually deploy and we will price the narrower option against the Suite.

What happens if Microsoft retires a module during our term?

Microsoft publishes no refund or credit policy for that situation. When Viva Goals was retired, its published guidance for customers whose subscription ran past the retirement date was to "contact your Microsoft representative for assistance". On a twelve-month term that is worth settling in advance rather than hoping it does not come up, so raise it with us and we will get the commercial position agreed in writing.
