The Purview Suite is Microsoft's bundled data security and compliance estate: classification and protection of data, prevention of its loss, governance of its lifecycle, detection of insider risk, and the audit and discovery tooling a legal or compliance team needs when something goes wrong. It is the bundle organisations buy when compliance obligations have outgrown what a base Microsoft 365 plan covers.
What Microsoft Lists in It — and the One Row Its Pages Dispute
Both Microsoft sources list nine solutions: Data Security Posture Management, Data Loss Prevention, Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Audit, Data Lifecycle Management, Compliance Manager and Communication Compliance. Microsoft's Learn trial page lists a tenth, Records Management, which the product page does not. The product page separately cites "Protection for Microsoft 365 Copilot data" as included. Confirm the Records Management position with us in writing if it matters to your requirement.
A Base Licence Is Required, and Microsoft Is Consistent About It
Both Microsoft pages agree here. The product page states the requirement as "Microsoft 365 E3; or Office 365 E3 and Enterprise Mobility + Security E3". The Learn trial page words the same thing as customers who "Have Microsoft 365 E3, or Have Office 365 E3 and Enterprise Mobility and Security E3". If your tenant is not on one of those, the base licences belong in the same quotation.
There Is More Than One Purview Suite — Make Sure This Is the Right One
Microsoft's service description references Purview Suite along with EDU, GOV and FLW variants, a combined Microsoft Defender + Purview Suite FLW, and a genuinely separate SMB product called Microsoft Purview Suite for Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which "Requires a Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription". These are different products with different prerequisites. Tell us which base plan your tenant runs and we will quote the matching Purview SKU rather than the nearest-sounding one.

What Microsoft Does Not Publish for This Product
The following are commonly asked about but are not stated on any current official Microsoft source for this product, so SourceIT does not quote them: a minimum seat count, whether Records Management is part of this Suite, a lifecycle policy listing for this subscription SKU and a mapping between the commerce SKU identifier and this Purview variant. Lifecycle, End of Support and Entitlement
SourceIT sells this as a twelve-month subscription with a GST invoice in Singapore. The subscription is a right to use the service for the term, not a perpetual licence: when the term ends the entitlement ends unless it is renewed.
Microsoft publishes no lifecycle listing for the Purview Suite subscription, so this page does not claim one, and no retirement or replacement announcement is published for the Suite itself. What is published is the rebrand: Microsoft announced on 19 April 2022 that Microsoft Purview was formed "By bringing together the former Azure Purview and the former Microsoft 365 Compliance portfolio", and several components were renamed at the same time — Microsoft 365 Advanced Audit became Audit (Premium), Microsoft Information Governance became Data Lifecycle Management, and Microsoft Advanced eDiscovery became eDiscovery (Premium).

Support and Entitlement Position
This is a software subscription, not hardware. It carries no hardware warranty, and any warranty term you see on a hardware listing does not apply here. What you are buying is a twelve-month right to use the service, together with SourceIT's local support in Singapore. Microsoft's own condition is that technical and billing support for a subscription bought through a partner runs through that partner, so for this subscription that means us: raise the ticket with SourceIT and we escalate to Microsoft where it needs to go. Renewal, seat changes and co-terming are handled on your SourceIT account. Ask our team for the current entitlement position in writing with your quotation.
Compatibility, Deployment and System Requirements
Check what you already own before you buy this. Several Microsoft 365 and Enterprise Mobility + Security bundles already include this service, and a tenant that buys it separately can end up paying twice for the same entitlement. Send us your current subscription list and we will check your existing entitlements before we quote.

What base licence do we need?
Microsoft 365 E3, or Office 365 E3 together with Enterprise Mobility + Security E3. Both of Microsoft's pages state it the same way. If your tenant is not on one of those, the base licences need to be quoted alongside this.
Is Records Management included?
Microsoft's pages disagree. Its Learn trial page lists Records Management as one of ten solutions in the Suite; its product page lists nine and does not include it. If records management is a compliance obligation for you rather than a nice-to-have, ask us to get the position confirmed in writing before you order.
We are on Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Is this the right product?
Probably not this exact one. Microsoft publishes a separate product, Microsoft Purview Suite for Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which requires a Business Premium subscription rather than the E3 base this SKU expects. Tell us your base plan and we will quote the matching variant rather than the nearest-sounding one.
Is this what used to be called Azure Purview or Microsoft 365 Compliance?

Is there a minimum quantity?
