The HPE Aruba Networking CX 6000 12G Class4 PoE 2G/2SFP 139W Switch (R8N89B) is an entry-level managed access switch from HPE Aruba Networking's CX 6000 series, which runs the same AOS-CX operating system as HPE's larger campus switches. It provides 12 x 10/100/1000BASE-T + 2 x 1GbE RJ-45 + 2 x 1G SFP, with a switching capacity of 32 Gbps and throughput of 23.8 Mpps.

HPE positions the CX 6000 for small and branch offices that want enterprise-grade features, security and a consistent operating model across the network, at an entry-level price point.

Cloud, Web GUI or CLI Management

The switch can be managed from the cloud with HPE Aruba Networking Central, or locally through its built-in web GUI, the industry-standard AOS-CX CLI or the built-in REST API. Zero Touch Provisioning lets a new switch come online at a remote site with minimal on-site effort. Central cloud management is licensed separately; ask us to quote it with the switch.

Power over Ethernet for APs, Phones and Cameras

This model provides Class 4 PoE, up to 139 W budget, enough to power Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and security cameras straight from the switch. Built-in power monitoring helps track consumption to support sustainability initiatives.

Layer 2 Features and Static Routing

HPE lists IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, Rapid Per-VLAN Spanning Tree (RPVST+), IEEE 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree, IEEE 802.3ad LACP link aggregation, dual-stack static IPv4 and IPv6 routing, ASIC-based sFlow network monitoring and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 for platform security.
