The Vertical Universal CPU Holder covers the widest span in Ergotron's CPU-holder range — 2" to 8" (51 to 203 mm) — and includes a plastic spacer so that small and ultra-small form-factor machines sit securely at the narrow end. One part number handles a mixed fleet of desktops rather than one model of it.
40 lb (18 kg) Capacity, Wall, Track or Pole
Rated to 40 lb (18 kg), the holder fixes to a wood stud or solid concrete wall using the supplied hardware, to an Ergotron Wall Track system, or to an Ergotron post using CPU Holder Bracket 60-158-100. That makes it the practical choice where the mounting surface is decided by the room rather than by preference.
Security Fasteners That Lock the Width Setting
Ergotron supplies security fasteners that lock the holder at its set width, so the machine cannot simply be slid out. The installation guide covers the fastener sets for both the 2"–4" and 4"–8" width bands.
Silver Finish, With a White Option in the Same Model
97-468-202 is the silver finish; Ergotron also lists 97-468-216 in white for white LX Wall Mount System builds. Both are the same holder.

Ergotron publishes no height or depth limit — width and weight are the governing figures.
Worth knowing before you choose between the two Ergotron holders: the Small holder (80-063-200 black, 80-063-216 white) carries more weight at 50 lb (22.7 kg) but takes a much narrower chassis at 1.38"–3.75". This Universal model trades capacity for width. Choose on the machine you actually have.
Mounting is flexible: a wood stud, solid concrete using the supplied M8 x 80 mm bolts at a minimum 80 mm hole depth, an Ergotron Wall Track system, or an Ergotron post using CPU Holder Bracket 60-158-100. The holder is fixed and vertical — Ergotron publishes no rotation or tilt figure for it. Note also that Ergotron's own installation guide prints a narrower 3.38"–7.63" (86–194 mm) range than the 2"–8" on its dimensional drawing and product sheets; if your machine sits close to either extreme, ask us to confirm before you order.
