A Local and Remote USB 3.2 extender pair that carries USB 3.2 Gen 1, 2.0 and 1.1 signals up to 100 m (330 ft) over CAT6a/7 cable, ideal for connecting UC cameras, soundbars and video capture devices to a room PC in conference rooms and meeting spaces.

Use CAT6a/7 cable for the Link connection; with premise cabling, up to 10 m of patch cord may be used at each end within the 100 m total. The Link ports must only be connected to each other, never to a network. Crestron does not guarantee compatibility with every USB host or device.

What does the USB-EXT-3 KIT include?
It consists of the USB-EXT-3-LOCAL and USB-EXT-3-REMOTE extenders, with a 24 VDC power pack for each and a mounting kit for optional surface mounting.
What cable is required?
CAT6a or CAT7 (UTP, FTP or STP) for the Link connection, up to 100 m (330 ft) total. The LAN pass-through ports work over CAT5e or higher.
Is it suitable for USB conference cameras?
Yes. It fully supports USB 3.2 isochronous transport, which guarantees bandwidth for camera and video capture streams so that other devices such as storage do not degrade video performance.
How many USB devices can I connect?
The Remote extender has four USB Type-A ports, and up to 30 devices can be supported using up to three USB hubs (not included).
Can I connect the Link port to my network switch?
No. The Link ports of the Local and Remote extenders must be connected only to each other. Use the separate LAN port for network pass-through.
