Frequently Asked Questions — UC-MX50
What is the difference between the -T, -Z and -U versions?
The -T version runs native Microsoft Teams Rooms and the -Z version runs native Zoom Rooms software, both on a UC Engine mini PC. The -U version has no UC Engine; it works with a laptop running any UC or web conferencing application over USB.
What does "NC" mean?
NC versions come without the collaboration camera. Crestron 1 Beyond cameras such as the IV-CAM-P12 or IV-CAM-P20 can be used instead.
How many displays are supported?
The Teams and Zoom versions support single or dual displays; the UC-MX50-U supports a single display. Displays are not included.
Can the tabletop device be powered by PoE?
No. The tabletop conference device is powered by the included 24 VDC PW-2420RU power pack and cannot be powered by PoE or PoE+.
Can I add more microphones?
Yes. The tabletop device supports two CCS-UCA-MIC extension mic pods, sold separately.
