Frequently Asked Questions — HD-TXCA-4KZ-101
How does the HD-TXCA-4KZ-101 differ from the HD-TXC-4KZ-101?
It adds a balanced/unbalanced stereo analog audio input that can be embedded with the HDMI video, and an S/PDIF optical output for audio returned from an HD-RXCA-4KZ-101 receiver.
Can I choose between HDMI and analog audio?
Yes. An audio select push button switches between HDMI and analog audio. It works when used with a DM Essentials 4K60 4:4:4 receiver or a DMPS Essentials HD-PS Series switcher.
What does the optical output do?
It outputs S/PDIF audio received from a device, such as a display, connected to the optical input of an HD-RXCA-4KZ-101, so it can feed an AV receiver. Formats include Dolby Digital, DTS and LPCM up to 6 channels.
What control signals are extended?
Bidirectional RS-232 up to 115.2k baud (TD/RD) and IR up to 60 kHz.
How is it powered?
From the included PW-2420RU power pack, or from a remote surface-mount receiver or DMPS Essentials switcher. With a DMPS switcher the power pack must not be connected.
