Frequently Asked Questions — DM-NVX-E760
What does the DM input on the DM-NVX-E760 accept?
DM 8G+ outputs from DM switchers and transmitters, DM Essentials transmitters, and HDBaseT compliant sources. It then encodes the signal for distribution over a DM NVX network.
Are USB and control signals passed from a DM transmitter?
No. Only audio and video signals from the DM transmitter are passed to the DM-NVX-E760.
Can it power the connected DM transmitter?
Yes. The DM input is a PoDM+ (HDBaseT PoE+ compatible) PSE port and can power DM 8G+ and DM Essentials transmitters that are not connected to their own power pack.
How is the standalone unit powered?
By the included PW-2420RU 24 VDC power pack, or by PoE++/UPOE (IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 Class 5) on Ethernet port 1.
Why use the DM-NVX-E760?
Crestron positions it as a bridge between HDBaseT or DM systems and AV over IP, protecting existing investment while expanding distribution across the network.
