Frequently Asked Questions — DM-NVX-E30
Is the DM-NVX-E30 an encoder or decoder?
It is an encoder. A laptop, camera or other HDMI source connects to its input and is transmitted over the network to one or many DM NVX decoders.
What bit rate modes are available?
Fixed (200 to 950 Mbps, user specified), adaptive (set automatically by input resolution, e.g. 400 Mbps for 1080p60) or variable (from under 150 Mbps up to 750 Mbps, depending on content).
Will it work with DM-NVX-D20 decoders?
Yes, if the encoder stream type is set to DM-NVX-D10/D20/D200 Series and the resolution does not exceed the decoder maximum. The default is Pixel Perfect Processing for DM NVX 4K60 4:4:4 decoders.
Can it be powered by PoE?
Yes. The standalone DM-NVX-E30 is an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ Class 4 (25.5 W) device; an optional PW-2412WU power pack is available.
What is the DM-NVX-E30C?
The card version of the encoder, which occupies one slot in a DMF-CI-8 card chassis for high-density rack installations.
