Frequently Asked Questions — DM-NVX-D30
Is the DM-NVX-D30 an encoder or a decoder?
It is a decoder. It receives a stream from a DM NVX encoder and outputs it to a local display through its HDMI output, and can switch quickly among multiple encoders on the network.
Does the HDMI output scale video?
No. Crestron notes that the HDMI output of the DM-NVX-D30 does not support video scaling.
Can it be powered over Ethernet?
Yes. The standalone DM-NVX-D30 is an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ Class 4 (25.5 W) powered device. An optional PW-2412WU 24 VDC power pack is also available.
Can it be used with DM-NVX-E20 encoders?
Yes. For DM-NVX-E10/E20 Series encoders the decoder automatically uses the matching stream type; for DM NVX 4K60 4:4:4 encoders it uses Pixel Perfect Processing.
What is the difference between DM-NVX-D30 and DM-NVX-D30C?
The DM-NVX-D30 is a standalone surface-mount unit with PoE+, RS-232 and IR ports. The DM-NVX-D30C is a plug-in card for the DMF-CI-8 chassis for high-density rack installations.
