The Ryzen 7 7800X3D stacks AMD 3D V-Cache on top of its Zen 4 compute die, giving 8 cores and 16 threads access to 96MB of L3 cache (104MB of L2 + L3 combined). Games that are sensitive to memory latency keep more of their working data on-chip, which is why AMD positions it as a gaming-focused processor.
Zen 4 on the AM5 Platform
The CPU runs at a 4.2GHz base clock and boosts up to 5.0GHz within a 120W default TDP. It drops into any AM5 motherboard (A620, B650/B650E, X670/X670E, B840/B850 and X870/X870E), with dual-channel DDR5 support, AMD EXPO memory profiles and PCIe 5.0 for the latest graphics cards and NVMe SSDs.
Built-in Display Output
AMD Radeon Graphics (2 compute units at 2,200MHz) is integrated, so the system can boot and drive a display without a discrete card for setup, troubleshooting or light desktop use.
